South Jakarta Offers Natural Tourism

Entering School vacation, South Jakarta Administration has prepared several tourism sites for the residents who want to spend their vacation. Like the previous years, Ragunan Zoo and Setu Babakan area become favorite natural tourism places in South Jakarta. In addition, the municipal government will rely on culinary tourism and shopping center to spoil the tourists.

Head of South Jakarta Tourism Agency, AZ Harahap, admitted that his side is still relying on both tourism places to be visited. It is estimated that on weekends, Ragunan Zoo is visited by 30 thousand people. While, in Setubabakan, various attractions of Betawi culture will be presented.      

`When attraction is performed, the number of visitors can reach 3,000 people in Setubabakan. Therefore, in order to increase the number of visitors, there will be tour attraction which at the same time preserves Betawi cultures," said Harahap AZ to beritajakarta.com in his office, Wednesday (6/23).

Harahap further said that his side will develop the arts performed in Situ Babakan. It is to improve the attractiveness of that tourism site. “It needs to accelerate the improvement in that location in order to attract more visitors,` he said.

He also appealed to all stakeholders and residents to improve the cleanliness of Setubabakan. “If all sites commit to maintain the cleanliness, they will look more beautiful. Of course, the visitors who come will be more satisfied,” said Harahap.

Besides natural tourism, Harahap explained, Jakarta Great Sale which is going on at some shopping centers in Jakarta is also a reference for local and foreign tourists. “Parents are expected to increase their supervision if they bring their under age children to malls to avoid unexpected things, “he urged.

Meanwhile, Harahap is optimistic with the culinary tourism which is still favorite for South Jakarta residents. It is because food is every one`s need.
